Buying Specialist

Department: Sport Retail

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing process of the brand portfolio, ensuring profitability and alignment with business strategy.
• Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Retail, and Marketing teams to guarantee the right assortment for stores.
• Monitor brand performance and propose improvements to management.
• Research market and consumer trends, forecast customer needs, and identify new product opportunities.
• Participate in seasonal buying sessions, fairs, and exhibitions to stay current with industry trends.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners and suppliers.
• Prepare, review, and confirm all purchase orders and product specifications in the system.
• Oversee stock levels, product distribution, and internal transfers across stores.
• Organize seasonal product presentations for retail teams and contribute to the development of seasonal product strategies.
• Provide regular sales and performance reports (weekly, monthly, annual) to management and partners.
• Support promotional campaigns, analyze their effectiveness, and ensure KPIs are achieved.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience in brand management, buying, or retail operations.
• Knowledge of sports brands, industry trends, and consumer preferences in the sportswear/lifestyle sector.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to track market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English (written and verbal); knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
