Controlling Specialist - Carlsberg Azerbaijan (Bakı, 2026)

Role overview: 

• We are looking for a Controlling Specialist to join our Finance team and support financial planning, reporting, performance analysis, and business decision-making across the organization.

What You'll be doing:

• Collect, consolidate, and analyze financial and operational data, preparing accurate and timely management reports and financial analyses;
• Support timely and high-quality month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities;
• Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes in line with business objectives and financial targets;
• Analyze variances between Actual, Budget, Forecast/Latest Estimate, and Prior Year results, identifying key drivers and providing clear commentary;
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency in financial planning, reporting, and analysis using inputs from relevant business functions;
• Monitor financial and operational performance, highlighting key trends, deviations, risks, and opportunities;
• Prepare financial and business performance analyses for monthly and periodic management reviews;
• Support management decisions through financial modelling, scenario analysis, business case evaluation, and ad-hoc analysis;
• Contribute to simplification, standardization, and automation of financial reporting and controlling processes;
• Maintain high data quality and improve the efficiency of financial planning and reporting tools and processes;
• Collaborate with local, regional, and Group Finance teams throughout planning, reporting, forecasting, and performance review cycles;
• Provide financial and analytical support for local, regional, and Group initiatives, including data gathering, validation, and scenario development;
• Work closely with Finance and other business functions to align financial information, assumptions, and performance management activities.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or financial analysis;
• Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis;
• Ability to consolidate and interpret financial and operational information.

 Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel;
• Clear communication and effective cross-functional collaboration;
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines;
• English is required; Russian is an advantage.
