Financial Risk Analyst - IRES (Bakı, 2026)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Risk Analyst to join our client's team in the renewable energy sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks across renewable energy projects, as well as supporting insurance management activities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Risk Management

• Conduct financial risk assessments across renewable energy projects, from construction through operations.
• Identify potential financial exposures and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Review project and financing agreements to identify financial risks, covenant breaches, and potential defaults.
• Prepare financial risk reports, scenario analyses, and assessments for senior management.
• Assess the financial impact of critical risks and incidents.
• Develop, monitor, and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), recommending corrective actions when necessary.

Insurance Management

• Support the development and implementation of corporate and project insurance management processes.
• Monitor insurance policies, coverage, and related initiatives.
• Evaluate insurance programs and recommend cost-effective risk transfer solutions.
• Collaborate with insurance providers and project teams to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Analyze local and international insurance markets, pricing trends, and coverage options.
• Review insurance advisors' reports and assess their financial risk implications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in financial risk management.
• Experience in project insurance and understanding of renewable energy insurance requirements.
• Practical experience in financial impact assessment of incidents and realized risks is required.
• Strong knowledge of financial risk identification, assessment, and mitigation techniques.
• Ability to analyze project finance documentation, insurance policies, and risk reports.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or ISO 31000 are an advantage.
