Offshore Mechanic Foreman

IRES is recruiting an experienced Offshore Mechanic Foreman for an offshore construction project in the Oil & Gas industry.

Location: Offshore Construction Vessel

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the offshore mechanical maintenance team.
• Ensure proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and minimal downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and report technical issues to the Vessel Equipment Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, permit-to-work, and isolation procedures.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), where required.
• Manage spare parts, maintenance records, and equipment-related costs.
• Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized working areas.

Requirements

• Technical education in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position on an offshore construction vessel in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proven experience supervising mechanical maintenance teams.
• Good understanding of offshore HSE standards and maintenance procedures.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English and Azerbaijani are mandatory.
