Piping Engineering Intern

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

An international company is looking for a motivated and technically minded Piping Engineering Intern to support its engineering and project activities.

The position offers an excellent opportunity for engineering students and recent graduates to gain practical experience in piping engineering, technical procurement, fabrication, and industrial project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with P&IDs, piping layouts, isometric drawings, and GA drawings;
• Support preparation and checking of BOMs and Material Take-Offs (MTOs);
• Review piping specifications, drawings, datasheets, and project requirements;
• Assist with technical evaluation of pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, gaskets, and other piping components;
• Support preparation of RFQs and technical inquiries;
• Review vendor quotations and technical documentation;
• Prepare technical comparison sheets;
• Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding technical information;
• Support fabrication monitoring, inspections, and site visits when required;
• Maintain engineering documentation and project tracking sheets.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline;
• 3rd or 4th year university students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply;
• Basic understanding of piping systems, piping components, engineering drawings, and technical specifications;
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and fluid mechanics principles;
• MS Excel and Word skills;
• AutoCAD knowledge is preferred;
• AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks, or similar software would be an advantage;
• Good written and spoken English;
• Azerbaijani is preferred; Russian is an advantage;
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Experience: No previous professional experience is required.

Knowledge of ASME/API/ASTM standards, CAD software, technical procurement, or fabrication processes would be considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
