Is actively seeking to appoint the right candidate for the following position: Primary School Student Counsellor – Psychologist (Full-Time)

Campus: Baku

Stream: International (Cambridge) Application Requirements:

Bachelor or Master's degree in school counseling or psychology.
Advanced English language skills.
Minimum of 2 years professional counseling experience, preferably in an educational field.
Good communication, interpersonal and mediation skills.
Working knowledge of counseling models, methods, and resources.
Ability to identify and respond to students' needs.
Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
Patient, friendly, and accommodating personality.
Social perceptiveness and an understanding of body language.

Main responsibilities:

Work with young children
Listening to students' concerns regarding social, academic, emotional or personal circumstances.
Providing students with support and guidance on how to deal with problems.
Mediating and improving relationships between students, parents, and teachers.
Counseling individuals and groups as required.
Conducting assessments to determine students' strengths, weaknesses, interests, and aptitudes.
Working with students to develop and improve their skill set.
Meet with parents and teachers to discuss learning, behavioral, familiar and social problems
Implementing programs to combat substance abuse
Evaluate and advise school disciplinary practices for troubled students
Promote positive behaviors
