Quality Control Inspector (Offshore)

IRES is currently seeking experienced Quality Control Inspectors for an offshore Oil & Gas project.

Work Location: Offshore Operation Vessel

Requirements

• Higher education
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas construction industry
• Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certificate (Mandatory)
• Fluent English and Azerbaijani
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection, quality control procedures and industry standards
• Experience in offshore construction and installation activities is an advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections of materials, equipment, welding and construction/installation activities in accordance with approved Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
• Inspect welding operations, verify welding parameters, consumables and welder qualifications.
• Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
• Conduct visual inspections and ensure compliance with applicable welding codes and specifications.
• Monitor coating and painting activities, including surface preparation, film thickness measurements and adhesion testing.
• Verify material traceability, equipment calibration certificates and inspection records.
• Identify non-conformities, prepare inspection reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with approved quality standards.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and contribute to the final As-Built dossier.
