Senior Business Analyst – Electronic Brokerage & IT

You will connect business, IT and vendors. You will turn business needs into clear requirements. You will help launch and support trading products. 

Key responsibilities

• Gather requirements from back office, finance, compliance and partner banks.
• Write specifications, process flows and user stories.
• Work with the OMS vendor and other vendors on changes and integrations.
• Track vendor tickets and escalate open issues.
• Test new releases in UAT before they go to production.
• Support integrations with custodians, liquidity providers and banks (FIX, APIs, SFTP).
• Check reconciliations between trading data and the general ledger.
• Help design accounting journals for new products.
• Review regulatory rules from the Central Bank (CBAR) and map them to system changes.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and the Supervisory Board.
• Take part in IT audits and support documentation for auditors.
• Maintain process documents and system passports.

Requirements

• 7 + years as a Business Analyst, ideally in brokerage, banking or fintech.
• Good understanding of trading: orders, positions, margin, CFDs, corporate actions.
• Basic accounting knowledge: double-entry, journals, PnL.
• Good SQL skills (MS SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with Jira or similar tools.
• Clear written and spoken English and Azerbaijani. Russian is a plus.
• Ability to work with vendors and push for results.

Nice to have

• Experience with an OMS or trading platform.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol.
• Python for data checks and automation.
• Knowledge of CBAR regulations for capital markets.
