We are seeking a Tax Intern (Contractor) with potential career growth.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or final-year student to gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, reporting, and tax operations within a global organization. The successful candidate will support the Tax team in day-to-day activities while developing a strong foundation in corporate taxation and compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support the Tax team in preparing tax calculations, reconciliations, and working papers. 
• Assist with the preparation and review of corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other tax compliance documentation. 
• Collect, organize, and analyze financial and tax-related information from various departments. 
• Assist in preparing supporting documentation for tax audits and responding to requests from tax authorities. 
• Support the review of invoices and contracts from a tax perspective. 
• Maintain tax records, documentation, and filing systems in accordance with company policies. 
• Assist with monthly and annual tax reporting and compliance activities. 
• Perform other administrative and analytical tasks assigned by the Tax Manager. 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Recent graduate (within the last 3 years) or final-year student pursuing a degree Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Azerbaijan tax legislation and accounting principles. 
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. 
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. 
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English (both written and spoken); Russian is an advantage. 
• Internship or academic experience in tax, accounting, or finance. 
• Knowledge of PSA (Production Sharing Agreement) taxation or the Oil & Gas industry would be an advantage but is not required. 
• Experience using Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
