Warehouse Specialist

Position Overview

• The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations at project sites, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of materials and tools. The role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, updating warehouse records, coordinating material movements, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against delivery documents and purchase records.
• Ensure proper storage, segregation, handling, and preservation of materials in accordance with project and safety requirements.
• Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
• Issue materials and tools to construction teams based on approved requisitions.
• Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and report findings to the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with HSE requirements.
• Coordinate material movements between warehouse areas, storage zones, and construction sites.
• Track tool inventory, including issuance, returns, and calibration schedules where applicable.
• Support QA/QC inspections by providing relevant material documentation and access to stored materials.
• Prepare inventory reports and maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, preferably within construction or fit-out projects.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling procedures.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani is required.
