Junior Industrial Engineer

Role Synopsis:

• The Junior Industrial Engineer is responsible for conducting time studies, determining standard operation times, analysing production performance, and supporting line balancing and capacity planning activities. The position focuses on improving productivity, optimizing workflows, and enhancing overall production efficiency

Key Accountabilities:

• Conduct time studies and determine standard operation times for products;
• Calculate and update Standard Minute Values (SMV);
• Identify production losses, unnecessary movements, and waiting times, and suggest improvements;
• Support workflow optimization and production line balancing to improve efficiency;
• Determine production times for new products, assess machine and workforce capacity, and analyse resource needs based on production targets; 
• Perform workload and workforce analyses, plan manpower requirements, and identify workforce shortages or surpluses;
• Calculate labor costs and provide recommendations to improve production performance;
• Prepare production work instructions and monitor their implementation;
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency and productivity;

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply);
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to conduct numerical calculations, analyse data, and prepare reports;
• Good communication and teamwork skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a production environment
• Strong willingness to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment.

• Location: 2 Sulh Str., Sumgait, Azerbaijan
