Role Synopsis:

  • The Junior Procurement Specialist role at GiLTEX in Azerbaijan involves supporting procurement operations, documentation preparation, purchase order and contract processing, procurement data tracking and reporting, market research, and coordination with internal departments to ensure efficient and compliant sourcing of goods and services for textile manufacturing operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in maintaining daily communication and correspondence with suppliers, ensuring the collection and timely sharing of information related to the procurement of goods and services.
  • Participate in the preparation of procurement-related documentation and support the execution of procurement processes in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks and process non-conformities and promptly report them to the line manager.
  • Support the preparation, processing, and filing of contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement-related documents.
  • Monitor the implementation of procurement plans and assist in ensuring the timely submission of required information.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to collect, review, and process procurement requests.
  • Support data collection and analysis activities aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes.
  • Assist in tracking procurement key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing related reports.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and support the maintenance and development of the supplier database.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the Approved Vendor List (AVL) to ensure supplier information remains accurate and current.
  • Perform duties in compliance with the Company's procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Carry out other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management within the scope of the position.

Desired background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous internship or up to 1 year of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related area is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment will be considered an advantage.
  • CIPS certification or ongoing CIPS studies will be considered an asset.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop within the procurement profession.

Required skills:

  • Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English languages is required; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficient with advanced use of MS Office suite
  • Time management and ability to meet the deadlines
