Role Synopsis:

  • The Procurement Specialist role at GiLTEX in Azerbaijan involves sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating logistics for textile-related goods and services.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performing as a single point of contact for all related communications with Suppliers, for provision of goods and services for the best possible value, to ensure transparency, consistency, compliance and fairness through consistent approach and ethical behaviour; 
  • Through recognition of procurement principles, promoting standardization and consolidation processes; 
  • Identifying, analysing and mitigating potential risks that can impede procurement from achieving functional and business objectives. 
  • Work closely with relevant functions to establish commercially and legally sound contracts, to avoid reputational risks and maintaining compliance with related principles of Company; 
  • Optimizing procurement planning processes to ensure adequate resources availability for Company Procurement requirements processing; 
  • To work with respective Originators to form cross-functional category teams/groups, to obtain the best possible value; 
  • Promoting leverage, aggregation and consolidation to reduce interactions and process costs; 
  • Apply Procurement function KPIs, ensuring evaluation and monitoring of the function performance effectiveness; 
  • Monitor, observe and analyze the market with aim to identify new potential qualified Suppliers willing and capable to perform Company procurement requirements, to keep up to date Company AVL. 
  • Ensuring Company policy and principles are applied by all third parties engaged in the provision of goods and services to Company. 
  • Applicable roles and responsibilities for the various activities performed by Company Procurement function staff are clearly defined in related procedures and respective job descriptions.

Desired background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is an advantage.  
  • CIPS certificate is an asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Procurement experience. 

Required skills:

  • Knowledge of Azerbaijani, English languages is necessary, Russian language is preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficient with advanced use of MS Office suite
  • Time management and ability to meet the deadlines
