Senior Accountant

Official Distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Azerbaijan

Autocapital-Azerbaijan is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, financial reporting, and taxation legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Ministry of Finance regulations
• Understanding of accounting procedures related to cash flow, assets, payroll, taxes, accounts payable and receivable
• Experience with inventory procedures and reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of civil, financial, labor, commercial, and customs legislation within professional competence
• Experience working with ERP systems and 1C
• Strong analytical thinking, responsibility, and attention to detail
• Russian language proficiency is mandatory; English is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain accounting and tax records within assigned areas (goods and services procurement, settlements with suppliers and customers, banking operations, fixed assets, etc.)
• Review and process primary accounting documents including invoices, acts, delivery notes, and payment documents
• Prepare accounting entries in 1C in accordance with accounting policies and business specifics
• Maintain accounting registers and prepare data for reporting
• Monitor the accuracy of transactions reflected in ERP/1C systems
• Conduct reconciliations with counterparties and control mutual settlements
• Participate in inventory counts and month/year-end closing procedures
• Cooperate with internal departments on accounting-related matters
• Participate in the implementation of improvements and automation of accounting processes
• Ensure compliance with company documentation flow standards and deadlines
