Position Description and Qualifications

Role Purpose:

• The Telecoms Support Technician delivers on-site 1st/2nd-level maintenance and support of Telecommunications infrastructure at the assigned site, ensuring continuous, safe and compliant operation of the site's telecoms systems. The position is both for onshore and offshore locations.

Position Essential Duties:

• Provide a continuous physical on-site presence, independently diagnosing, isolating, and resolving telecommunication and network faults with minimal supervision.
• Maintain and support VHF/UHF radio, structured & fiber-optic cabling, PAGA, DWDM optical backbone, GMDSS, TV/audio entertainment systems, CCTV, GPS/time synchronization, LAN, telephony and IP data communications.
• Interpret engineering diagrams, mark up red-line changes, and update as-built drawings in strict accordance with company engineering standards and operational processes.
• Execute end-to-end termination, inspection, cleaning, OTDR/fluke testing, and verification of structured copper and optical fiber cabling infrastructure.
• Lead and align cross-site and inter-platform maintenance activities to ensure seamless operations and zero unplanned downtime across interconnected facilities.
• Maintain complete and accurate shift-handover reports, daily operational logs, and up-to-date telecom equipment and spare-parts inventory databases.

Other features

• Minimum 3 years of recent, continuous telecoms maintenance support experience.
• Fluent English (read/write/speak); able to explain issues to non-technical staff.
