Work location: Azerbaijan, Baku, ISR Plaza

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week / 5-day working week

This position is open to citizens of Azerbaijan due to local hiring regulations.

The Workpack Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering discipline Construction Work Packs, converting approved engineering information into safe, practical and executable work packages for construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Construction Work Packs for offshore and onshore activities.
  • Review drawings, specifications and engineering deliverables for constructability.
  • Prepare workpack activities, job cards, method statements and task risk assessments.
  • Develop man-hour estimates, crew requirements, construction sequences and schedules.
  • Identify required materials, tools, equipment, lifting/rigging and isolation requirements.
  • Provide HSE and constructability input and ensure workpacks address relevant risks.
  • Support Construction Engineers, Supervisors and site teams during survey and execution.
  • Monitor workpack progress and coordinate with Engineering and Project Controls.
  • Identify construction risks and develop mitigation measures.
  • Review completed workpacks and support as-built and project close-out documentation.
  • Contribute to improving construction productivity, cost, schedule, quality and safety.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 4–5 years of relevant Oil & Gas construction experience.
  • 1–2 years of Work Pack / Job Card preparation or equivalent construction engineering experience.
  • Experience in structural/mechanical construction, fabrication and installation.
  • Previous experience as a Construction Engineer, Field Engineer, Supervisor, Workpack Engineer or similar.
  • Brownfield and offshore/drilling-rig experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural, fabrication and engineering drawings, welding details and specifications.
  • Experience with workpacks, job cards, man-hour estimates, construction sequences and method statements.
  • Knowledge of structural steel, piping, welding/WPS, NDT, bolting, lifting/rigging, scaffolding, hot work, PTW/ISSOW, risk assessment and QA/QC.
  • Ability to conduct offshore/site surveys and convert survey information into executable workpacks.
  • Good written and verbal English and Azerbaijani communication skills.
