Key details about the role and the candidate

• This role reports to the Hydraulic Integrity SPA and is responsible for maintaining all hydraulic and mechanical equipment to ensure operational integrity and safety.

You and the role

• We are looking for a highly skilled Hydraulic Engineer with strong knowledge in hydraulic equipment maintenance and mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to safe working practices. 

Primary responsibilities 

• Ensure all hydraulic equipment is maintained and promptly repaired.
• Develop and follow a preventative maintenance program per company procedures.
• Supervise pipework and equipment installation tasks, adhering to high engineering standards.
• Oversee Third-Party personnel, including Service Engineers, to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain statutory compliance for all equipment and initiate withdrawal of any equipment deemed unsafe.
• Suggest and implement modifications to equipment to enhance safety, improve performance, or comply with regulatory requirements.
• Plan maintenance and repair tasks to minimize operational disruption.
• Complete maintenance tasks as specified by the computerized maintenance system.
• Continuously promote health and safety awareness among employees.
• Update or modify technical drawings, sketches, or equipment information as required.
• Ensure a suitable supply of hydraulic spare parts, stored under environmentally sound conditions.
• Work effectively within a multi-discipline maintenance team.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years as an Offshore Mechanic, with relevant hydraulic engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CMMS (such as SAP).
• Demonstrated knowledge of offshore drilling equipment.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.

Behaviour and Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Recognized qualification related to hydraulic engineering or a relevant discipline.
