Internal Control Expert

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Internal Control Expert to join our client's team!

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in internal controls, operational risk management, and corporate governance to contribute to strengthening business processes and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Identify control gaps, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Finance, and business teams to strengthen internal controls.
• Support Control Self-Assessment activities and compliance initiatives.
• Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), monitor control performance, and prepare management reports.
• Promote internal control awareness and best practices across the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in internal controls, operational risk management, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, particularly COSO.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with SAP, Jira, or similar business management tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Languages: Fluent Azerbaijani and intermediate English.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, COSO, or ISO 31000 are considered an advantage.
• Experience in financial controls and internal audit processes is highly desirable.
