Senior Project Contract Specialist

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Contract Specialist / Project Contract Admin Senior to join a major project within the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Project Contract Manager throughout the project execution phase.
• Review tender-stage contractual summaries, legal analyses and supporting documentation.
• Verify the completeness and consistency of contract documentation and coordinate its distribution to relevant project team members.
• Support the development and implementation of the project contract management strategy.
• Administer contractual changes, variations, change orders and claims.
• Assist the Procurement team in preparing project-specific contracts for goods, services and subcontracts.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks related to subcontractors and vendors and support their effective management.
• Manage formal project correspondence and contractual documentation.
• Review and update partner agreements in line with project developments.
• Maintain contractual registers and records throughout project execution.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, notices and key milestones.
• Support preliminary activities related to potential disputes and litigation in coordination with the Legal function.
• Ensure full compliance with company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Higher education; technical or legal specialization within the Oil & Gas industry is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Fluent English and Azerbaijani.
• Strong knowledge of contract management and commercial risk assessment.
• Experience in contract drafting, negotiation and claims management.
• Good understanding of project execution, contractual compliance and HSEQ requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
