Shipping & Customs Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor shipping, transportation, and customs clearance activities for project and operational materials
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to project sites and operational locations
• Prepare and manage import, export, and transit documentation in compliance with customs regulations
• Track shipments and proactively resolve logistics issues to prevent delays
• Liaise with vendors, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal stakeholders
• Support transportation planning, budgeting, and contract management activities
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure timely SAP updates
• Monitor vendor performance and contribute to continuous supply chain improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Higher education degree
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Shipping, Logistics, Customs, Procurement, or Supply Chain roles
• Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Construction, or Industrial projects is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of import/export procedures and customs regulations
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills
• Fluent Azerbaijani and English
