Venture Intern (Edtech Squad)

About the Role

• We're hiring a Venture Intern to join SABAH.studio and work with the team on the early stages of the venture pipeline. This includes finding new ideas, validating them with users, scoping early products, and preparing materials for internal meetings where leadership decides what to build, pause, or stop.

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date on edtech and related industry trends, run market research, and find new venture opportunities for Azerbaijan and the wider region;
• Support problem discovery and idea generation through brainstorming sessions, customer interviews, and competitor scans;
• Score raw ideas against our selection criteria: market size, regional fit, edtech relevance, how quickly we can test the idea, and whether it overlaps with what we already support;
• Run customer discovery from start to finish. This includes recruiting interviewees, holding the conversations, and writing up what users actually need;
• Help build project plans for active ventures, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource needs;
• Support early product scoping by drafting user flows and help test prototypes;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, international relations, law, education, or a related field (MBA or further study a plus);
• Recent graduates and final-year students are welcome;
• Strong analytical and structured thinking;
• Solid research skills;
• Clear written and verbal communication;
• Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable, or similar);
• Interest in education and technology, with some familiarity with current edtech products;
• Prior startup, hackathon, or side-project experience is a plus.
